Why Fern Bridge Farm?
The town where our farm is located is called Ferrisburgh. It is a lovely town on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont. The town was settled by Dutch immigrants who originally called it Varenbrug, or Fern Bridge. This name resonated with me, partly because of the history associated with it and partly because of the imagery it conjured as I mulled it over. There you have it!

Registered Shetland Sheep
Listed as "Recovering" on The Nature Conservancy's list of Heritage Breed Sheep, these small sheep have so much to offer. Their wool is versatile and can be used for everything from fine lace to wool rugs and everything in between. Please join me on my journey as I establish my first flock of sheep at Fern Bridge Farm!
